So, as you’ve heard so many internet marketers talk about, you’ve decided to run an email campaign to your list. But wait a minute, you don’t have a list yet so you think about taking someone up on an offer to “buy” a 100,000 email list they have for sale. Do yourself a favor and stop right there.

We have all seen them, the ads that offer you a list with a couple million email addresses for a very low fee. Sad to say, but if you take someone up on this offer, your going to end up being labeled a “spammer” almost as fast as you attained the list. Most likely, most of the emails you send this list are going to wind up in their spam folder and the benefit to you is going to be zero. The truth is that most of the email addresses on that list are duplicates or fake and the remaining percent did not request to receive your emails you will be sending.

The main question is “where are you going to find people for your list?”.  The best thing you can do is use different marketing methods and pay attention to where your traffic is coming from.  Below is a list that was contributed by a email marketing company that will make sure that you are successful in running your email campaign.

1. Your Own Website- Here on your own site you can get people to sign up for your monthly ezine or newsletter or offer a    free report that is given away for a person entering their email. You can even run contest where you give away something of value and get people to sign up that way.

2. Direct Contact Marketing- Send out flyers or postcards to a set of potential customers. Make sure that your flyer design is set up in a way to try and get people to your website to get your free information and sign up for your list.

3. Use Telemarketers – You can use telemarketers or a service agent to contact people who are potential clients. Make sure you tell the telemarketers that you require email address. Don’t be afraid to give incentives for customers in exchange for them giving out their email address. (The info on your website, newsletter etc.)

4. Possibley Use A Broker – Find websites that offer brokerage services and heavy traffic that will link to your website where you offer your free information. While a little expensive $.10 to $.15 an email, this is a goood form of traffic if you have the money to pay for it.

5. Use Some Elbow Greese- You can either do it yourself by hanging flyers on doors that offer your free information at your website or outsource it to students who are out for the summer.

6. Using Contest To Boost Signups – Running online contests are a great way to build up a list and fast. Just give away something of value and make the entry fee an email address.

7. Customer To Customer Contact – If you own an store you do business out of, don’t let this opportunity slip away from you.
Make sure you request that the customer gives you their email address at the time of purchase for future discounts. You can then sell to them over and over or at least send them coupons which will bring them back into your store.

Obviously there only a few ways to get yourself a large email list that are targeted and are expecting your emails. There’s also PPC (Pay Per Click, Adwords) and also swaping lists with other marketers.  This means you offer to send out a broadcast to your list promoting their service while they do the same for you with their list.

Follow these tips above and your on your way to having a nice targeted list that will bring you profits.

Article Marketing can quite possibly be the best method for you to at last be successful making money online. The problem with that is that hundreds of others who are trying to make money online will have the same idea. If you want to be successful, you have to do a little article marketing research to beat out your competition. Some of the suggestions you will find here will show you the way to article marketing made easy.

Here’s a quick background on myself as to how I got started using articles to make myself successful in internet marketing.  I worked a full time job and basically was sick and tired of the daily grind that goes along with day jobs. What I wanted was a way I could make a good amount of money so I could support my family and quit my job. So like most people, I tried my hand at making money online.

Just like most people, I failed horribly! As luck would have it, a friend of mine gave me a kick in the butt and told me to concentrate on what my strenghts are. We talked a little bit about some unknown and known stenghts that I had, but we kept comming back to the skill of being able to write. To keep a long story short, it turned out that I was actually really good at writing short articles.

Now you probably arn’t aware of it just yet, but I just gave you one of the most important keys to article marketing made easy.  Did you pick up on it yet? Sure you have! I told you a true but short story.

Most people and many customers love to read stories, more so even when they are true. If you are writing an article on marketing or any other subject/project, make sure your story is something believable.

If your not able to tell a believable story, don’t expect to be making a ton or any sales. Worse though, is that the customers that you may have made a sale or two to find out that the product doesn’t perform like you said it would, they are going to be wanting a refund. Whats even worse though is that you will lose creditability.  To keep it in plain english, these people won’t ever buy anything from you ever again.

Now lets take a look something else that drives successful article marketing on the internet.

Probably the most successful article directory on the internet today is EzineArticles.com. Christopher Knight, who is the owner of this directory, tells you that the best articles are those that are kept between 250 and 1000 years. In my opinion, it’s best to keep your articles between 250 and 300 hundred words.  In doing my own article marketing research, I’ve found it that the shorter the article, the better click through rate you will have. The reason why is so your link pointing to your site can be seen no matter where the reader is within the article.
